Editorial Guidelines

Our editorial guidelines keep every page useful before it's profitable. We write in plain English and define every term we use. We answer the reader's question early — no filler introductions. Every commercial recommendation must explain why we picked it, what it costs, what it does well, what it does poorly, who should choose it, who should avoid it, and what alternatives exist. We never invent experts, credentials, rates, fees, or statistics. Financial facts come from primary sources: the IRS, SEC, Federal Reserve, FDIC, CFPB, U.S. Treasury, and official provider disclosures — never from competing affiliate blogs. We use safety language: 'you could earn' instead of 'you will earn,' and we never promise financial outcomes.
