Insurance Company Reviews

Insurance is hard to compare because the product is a promise, not an object — and two policies with the same company name can differ in limits, deductibles, exclusions, and claims handling. The reviews below look at one company and one line of coverage at a time: what the policy covers, what it excludes, how deductibles and limits work, and what to check before buying. They are educational explainers, not quotes and not recommendations for any individual reader. Start with the coverage you need, then read the review for the company you are considering — and compare the actual policy documents, not just the marketing summary, before deciding.

How to use these reviews

  1. Pick the coverage line first (home, renters, pet, travel, or business) — a good home insurer is not automatically a good pet insurer.
  2. Read the review for what the policy excludes, not just what it covers. Exclusions decide claims.
  3. Compare quotes on identical limits and deductibles. A cheaper quote with lower limits or a higher deductible is a different product.
  4. Verify licensing and current terms with the insurer and your state insurance department before buying — reviews describe coverage generally; your policy document governs.
